A little about me….

At the age of 20, after having taken a few images with my father’s old SLR camera, I decided to delve into photography as a bit of a hobby. So, I lashed out and bought my very own film camera and started making images of the things I saw on a day-to-day basis.

Fast-forward to 2015 and, after many years of not really being able to decide where to make our first big holiday, my wife and I set our sights on Antarctica. At that point, I thought to myself that if I’m going to make a once-in-a-lifetime trip to a place like Antarctica, I’m going to want to come back with some amazing photos. So, out I went and bought an entry level DSLR kit with a couple of zoom lenses, thereby beginning my serious journey into the world of photography. And what a journey it has been!

I came back from that Antarctic trip with a passion for landscape and wildlife photography - a passion that has only strengthened in the years since. Spurred on by my desire to capture the world’s most spectacular natural sights, I went on to visit the Arctic Circle (polar bears!) and then the Galapagos Islands.

My hobby has now grown to become my livelihood. I’m so lucky to be able to do what I love as a job. Having initially set up a small weekend market stall just outside of Hobart a few years ago to sell prints, my work is now in two retail spaces and I am offering my services in pet photography (a natural evolution from wildlife and, well, I just love it!), product photography and sporting events. I hope you enjoy seeing the world through my lens.
